When you will think of a diet beverage, you think you can enjoy in a delicious taste without the usual calories. Sounds great, but what is the point behind the diet beverages?
Are they healthier than the normal beverages or it is just a trick in order to buy them? Usually, if something sounds to be perfect to be real, then there is a hidden trick in all that. In the case with the diet beverages, the trick is that instead of sugar they contain artificial sweeteners.
The name itself says that there is anything healthy and natural in it. So, do the diet beverages can help you to lose weight or the opposite will happen?
According to some researches, if you drink diet beverages the chances to put weight are bigger than if you drink some of their varieties with sugar. This is because the sweeteners create a negative hormonal reaction in the organism that boosts the storage of the fats and boosts the will for sweet and refined carbohydrates in the time after consuming the beverage.
The sweeteners also ‘’delude’’ the organism. Although, you do not take normal sugar, the organism reacts throughout the insulin. If the insulin level is higher, the need for eating is increased and with it the organism has bigger chances to store an adipose tissue.
Also, many people think that if they drink diet juices have space to eat more, and in that way they consume more calories. The truth is that even the ordinary juices sweetened with sugar and the diet juices sweetened with sweeteners are both harmful for the organism, with an accent put on the ones with artificial sweeteners. If you really want to keep your organism healthy, you should avoid the sodas, but also the ordinary ones.
The best is to consume fresh squeezed juice from fresh fruits (even from vegetables) for an optimal quantity of nutrients, vitamins and minerals. The sweeteners should be avoided even in the coffee and the tea – at least you have to drink them sweetened, then use natural sweeteners or a brown sugar.
